Halloween 2008

Halloween came and went so fast this year, I can't believe it. Does it seem that way to anyone else? The businesses on main street handed out candy, so that was first on the Halloween trek list. We went with our friends; Kim, Preston, and Broc. After main street, Rendevous Pointe (a senior center here in Pinedale)had pizza and lemonade for anyone who wanted to brave a crowd.:) Then we went to the church for games and trunk or treat. (which I am still trying to adapt to):)
It was funny, after the first place that we went, Toree said, "Thanks mom, that was fun!" Then she started to eat her candy. I'll have to remember the days when she is so easily pleased.

A Day of Riding

Toree hanging off of good old Charlie. What a good horse.

Looks like Lainee is outgrowing Dara:)
The kids were riding in the backyard and having lots of fun.

A Snowy Day!!!!!

It It happened! The cold, snowy weather that everyone has warned us about. October 11, 2008, we received 3" of snow. We woke up on Sunday and had a foot. Wow! The kids tried out their snow suits and the sleds and pulled each other around on the four wheeler. The cold didn't slow down these St. George natives.:)

Toree's First Haircut

Finally the day has come and Toree has enough hair to have a haircut. Yeah!!! Oct 2, 2008.

Justify Full

Stacey the Ladybug

Toree has found an new facination for ladybugs. She found one and named it Stacey. Oh how she loved Stacey. We hauled her around town with us for a couple of days and she slept next to Toree on her paper plate and we fed her too. Despite all of our efforts Stacy didn't make it.:(
Boy did we have a sad three year old on our hands.

First Day of School

Hey everyone! Just an update on the Andersens. School started for the kids on Sept 2. The day right after Labor Day, so they get a really long summer.:)
Lainee is now in 1st grade. She is not very excited to be in school all day.
Cole is now in 4th grade. He is loving school in Pinedale.
Although the first day he came home and said, "Mom, I thought you said Pinedale was a cowboy town. I was the only one wearing wranglers to school."
The first week seemed to go well until Cole broke the news to me that we needed to do something about Lainee. All she does is BAWL! All of the way to school and back and at recess. Well that broke my heart. I asked Lainee what the deal was, and she said that school was so long and that she missed me. How sweet! We had to give her a rock to put in her pocket and whenever she missed me or got too tired she would rub it. It miraculously healed her. Now she is being tough and not crying anymore. Thank Goodness!!!

St. George Trip

Hello everyone!! I was informed today that I was slacking in the blog dept. I will keep the informant anonymous:)
I will admit, it has been too long. Let me catch you all up. On Aug. 16th, the kids and I took our 8 1/2 hour trek to St. George to see everyone. The motivation of our trip was family and friends of course, but the fact that Gilly, Summer, and Scarlett were coming into town was the biggest bonus. We only get to see them once a year and we make sure we enjoy every minute with them. The week was jammed pack!
Grandpa Kim and Grandma Shauna took us for a hike, the kids were posing for pictures the whole time:)Of course Grandpa thought that was just fine. Brady and Toree celebrated their birthdays. It was great fun!!!!!
Grandpa Dexter and Grandma Colleen spoiled Toree so much, that we are about to ship "sweet little snookums"(that's what G. Dexter calls her) back to them. We really enjoyed our time with them too!!!!
The rest of the week was spent with Gilly and the girls and the crowd that followed them:)So many of us look forward to their August visit that we all just gather where they are. Summer and Scarlett are growing up to be such great girls. Summer is making such progress too. She just turned 16. Can you believe that?
The kids saw those cute McAllister gals and had a blast with them.
Holly and Randy managed to squeeze some valuable time in with the kids and me too. I think they just tolerate me, because they love my kids:) You moms know just what I'm talking about.
I realized how hard it is to see everyone in such a short period of time. If we missed you, I am truly sorry. I will try to catch you next time. Not only do I have people to that I want to see, but the kids are old enough now to put in requests. Oh, and I have to do my Costco run while we're there. That's what happens when you move to Pinedale:)
Miss everyone in St. George, but absolutely love Wyoming. Everyone keeps reminding that I haven't spent a winter here yet, so it makes me wonder if my love for Wyoming will change? If the stories are true about the bitter cold winters, it is quite possible.
Before I sign off, I am trying a new venture. I will be selling Steel My Heart and Bumbles Watches. If anyone is interested give me a ring. I will have the websites available next time.
Take care all.

It's My Party and I'll Cry if I Want To!

Isn't it hard to believe that Toree is already three years old! Clint and I were talking and it seems like she was just barely born. We all know the old saying, "Time Flies".

Anyways Toree had a fun birthday party with her new friends. She had a bit of a melt down so she was in trouble and later apologized for it, I'm sure just so she could get out.:) I sort of put the moms on the spot, not giving them enough time to do online shopping, so we all did our birthday shopping at THE grocery store in Pinedale and suprizingly she got some neat presents that she really loved. I think I'm getting the hang of living in a small town w/o shopping............

I never ever thought I'd be giving any of my kids a kitty cat party, let alone make them a kitty cat cake. Pretty funny huh? Cole said that I could get a job at Ridley's in the cake department. (How sweet is he?) Thanks to all who gave Toree presents. We love you!

Two Man Job?????????

All of the Harber clan (Clint included) were working on Matt and Ashley's yard(Josh's brother and sister-in-law).Josh and Clint are pretty inseparable as you can see. They have become pretty close, as you can see once again. :) All joking aside, we are very thankful for all that Josh has done for us.

Wyoming Beach-Fremont Lake

Some of our new friends invited us to go to Fremont Lake with them. It is only about 20 minutes from our house. The weather was beautiful as you can see. We are trying to take advantage of it since we are sure to be house bound in the winter time here. As you can see only Lainee and Cole were able to be buried. We tried to bury Toree, but after several attempts we all gave up. She was way to wiggly.

Rendevous Round Up

The Mountain Man Rendevous is a big thing up here and they celebrate it every year. Now that we are new, we definetly need to find out all of the history here that has to do with the Mountain Men. They had a lot of different things to do for the kids. They painted some drums and listened to some singers. Cole tipped the singers some of our lunch money so lunch was scarce. He said they were doing a good job and he felt bad that no one was leaving them any money.:)

Ready, Set, Blog!

Here we are in Wyoming finally! Thanks to Amee I now have a blog. I WILL be tecnological! Well Wyoming has been wonderful so far. A bit slow here but we needed it.
What a great change! I have really enjoyed being home with the kids and oddly enough even enjoyed cooking dinner.(Whoa did I just say that)
